How to improve the smoothness of kraft paper?
1. Check the grammage and moisture content of the kraft paper web, which should be uniform throughout. Consider using more hardwood and filler.
2. Increase the moisture content out of the drying cylinder. Paper is too dry for poor calendering, use steam when calendering.
3. Unbalanced or insufficient press loads during wet pressing will result in poor smoothness or flatness. Dirty and worn blankets can damage the surface of the paper web and should be replaced. Check the operation of the blanket network, especially the press bottom blanket.
4. If other conditions permit, add fine grinding to improve evenness.
5、Use glossy press.
Check the operation of the cold cylinder.
7、If other conditions permit, increase the ash content to improve smoothness.
8、Check the condition of press structure and moving scraper.
9、Check the wet press blanket printing, reduce the press load as much as possible, need to improve the calender load.
10、Check the calendering operation, increase the temperature and number of nip is favorable to the paper.
11, check the center-high and press roll load. If necessary, regrind.
12、Check the initial drying with gradual temperature increase.
13、Check for dirty cylinders, rolls and doctor blades.
